Tabi Connect vs. Vooma, Manifold, Beagl, S2Q, and Hoptek

Tabi Connect vs. Vooma, Manifold, Beagl, S2Q, and Hoptek
A note before you read this. These five names come up often enough in freight quoting research that they’re worth addressing directly, and they’re not all solving the same problem the same way. Manifold and Hoptek are built primarily for carriers rather than brokers, but both compete with Tabi Connect for some of the same client base, which is why they’re included here rather than left off as a clean non-match.

Vooma

Vooma is a venture backed company founded in 2023 out of Y Combinator’s Winter 2023 batch by Jesse Buckingham, Nathan Matthews, and Mike Carter. It has raised approximately $17.1M, a $3.6M seed led by Index Ventures and a Series A led by Craft Ventures, with participation from logistics executives at Uber Freight, Ryder, and Project44 among its investors. Its products include Vooma Quote, which automates email quote responses and tracks outcomes, and Vooma Build, for order entry automation, along with more recently launched voice and multi-channel agent products. In January 2026, Vooma announced a partnership with SONAR to bring freight market intelligence into its email quoting product. Reported customers include Echo Global Logistics, Arrive Logistics, and MoLo/ArcBest.

Where it differs from Tabi: Vooma’s public depth is strongest in email and order-entry automation. We did not find published detail on RFP-specific bulk pricing, a private historical rate engine, or a native chat interface.

Manifold

Manifold Freight was founded in 2024 in Seattle by Andrew Huff and Oliver Jones, both former engineering leaders at Convoy. It has raised roughly $2.4M in seed funding from Y Combinator and New Stack Ventures. Its product aggregates spot freight opportunities from load boards, brokers, and shippers into a single platform, aimed at helping carriers reduce empty miles and find freight more efficiently.

Where it differs from Tabi: Manifold is built primarily for carriers finding freight rather than brokers automating quotes to shippers, though it does compete with Tabi Connect for some of the same brokerage business. It’s a narrower product, built around one side of the transaction rather than the full quoting workflow a rate management system covers.

Beagl

Beagl is a Seattle-based company founded by Eric Williams, who has a background in financial markets and freight brokerage. Its platform focuses on descriptive, prescriptive, and predictive analytics for freight sales, rate seasonality and lane-level risk data, a carrier matching recommender, and tools for matching inbound RFP lanes against a broker’s existing carrier network.

Where it differs from Tabi: Beagl is positioned around sales intelligence and RFP strategy, helping a team decide what to bid and who to use, rather than capturing requests and automatically submitting quotes the way an RMS does.

S2Q Systems (Speed to Quote)

S2Q Systems, founded in 2021 in Beachwood, Ohio, by Ben Derin, launched Speed to Quote as an email workflow automation product for freight brokers and expedite carriers. It has since expanded to include Speed to Bid, which aggregates third-party spot bidding platforms, an RFP Digitalization Module, and a Rate Collector module for live third-party carrier rate collection. Speed to Quote has a certified integration with DAT RateView.

Where it differs from Tabi: S2Q’s product line does span email, RFP, and rate collection, making it one of the more comparable names on this list. Public information doesn’t detail a private historical rate engine built from a broker’s own data, or chat-based quoting.

Hoptek

Hoptek builds AI-powered fleet optimization software, including Freight Finder, Load Acceptor, and Dispatch-Optimization, designed for asset-based carriers to find loads, reduce deadhead miles, and improve fleet utilization.

Where it differs from Tabi: Hoptek is built primarily for asset-based carriers, solving a load-finding and fleet-planning problem rather than a broker’s quoting workflow, but it does compete with Tabi Connect for some of the same client base. It’s included here for that reason, not just because the name comes up in freight tech research.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Vooma do?

Vooma is a venture backed company founded in 2023 (Y Combinator Winter 2023) that builds AI agents for freight brokers and carriers, including Vooma Quote for email quoting automation and Vooma Build for order entry. It has raised approximately $17.1M from investors including Index Ventures and Craft Ventures.

Is Manifold a quoting automation company?

Not in the same sense as a broker-facing rate management system. Manifold Freight aggregates spot freight opportunities from load boards, brokers, and shippers into one platform, primarily for carriers looking to reduce empty miles. It does compete with Tabi Connect for some of the same brokerage clients, but the core product is built around a different problem than automating a broker’s quoting process to shippers.

What does Beagl do?

Beagl is a sales and RFP intelligence platform for freight brokers, offering rate seasonality analytics, lane-level risk data, and a carrier matching recommender. It’s positioned around winning and pricing RFPs with data rather than capturing and automatically submitting spot quotes.

What is S2Q Systems / Speed to Quote?

S2Q Systems, maker of Speed to Quote, is a freight pricing and RFP software company founded in 2021 that automates email-based spot quoting, RFP digitalization, and live carrier rate collection, with a certified DAT RateView integration.

Does Hoptek compete with Tabi Connect?

For some clients, yes. Hoptek builds AI-powered fleet optimization tools for asset-based carriers, helping them find loads and reduce deadhead miles, and its primary buyer, carriers rather than freight brokers, is different from Tabi’s. Where the two do compete is with clients evaluating both sides of the problem, though Hoptek doesn’t automate a broker’s quoting process to shippers the way an RMS does.
